St Monica’s R.C. High School
“On the day of the school visit, I was impressed by Paige and Tom’s professionalism. They conducted the interviews and filming expertly and were flexible with the last minute changes to the itinerary.
“The video edit was excellent. I received the first draft within a quick turnaround giving me the time to liaise with the governors and senior leadership team.
“We are delighted with the quality and content of the finished product; the style of the video is current and sums up accurately what our school stands for and how we look to support our students. We have received a lot of positive feedback from governors, staff and prospective parents.”

The brief:
St Monica’s R.C. High School asked Deadline Digital to produce a ‘virtual open evening’ video as they were unable to hold an event due to the government guidance around COVID-19.
The process involved interviewing staff and pupils as well as b-roll of lessons in progress and a tour of the school.
As well as capturing the facilities on offer, we placed a keen emphasis on showcasing lessons in progress to help give a feel of the school’s atmosphere and what it’s like to be a pupil there.
Video Journalist, Paige Collier (@PaigeFCollier) was involved in the filming and editing of this project:
“Working with St Monica’s staff and pupils was a brilliant experience. There was a lot both ourselves and the school wanted to capture within the video, so it really helped that the staff provided us with a structured plan for the filming day as well as the flexibility to get creative with the edit.
“It was also a real pleasure to hear from both the staff and students in their interviews. You can see they are all really proud of the school and it was great to be able to capture that.”
