The Enhanced Recovery Team at York Teaching Hospital wanted a video to help patients understand what they would go through when undergoing surgery. Deadline Digital produced a short video guide that included interviews with staff and patients. The films were shot both on location and on chromakey, using an auto cue. Deadline Digital provided a complete video production company service, compiling and supplying the films in various formats.

“Deadline Digital have worked on several very successful projects for York Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, one being the ‘Living well with Cancer’ DVD. I met with Jane Archer, Cancer Care Centre Manager, who chatted through her experiences of making the DVD and wholeheartedly recommended Deadline Digital to me and the Enhanced Recovery Lead, Mr Bandyopadhyay.

“The Enhanced Recovery team wanted to create a DVD to help support the patient through there Enhanced Recovery journey. They wanted the DVD to explain the different parts to Enhanced Recovery and what the patient can expect to experience during their stay in our hospital after their surgery.

“The team also wanted the DVD to show the patient their journey through the hospital, give them chance to see the types specialist staff involved in their care and listen to some testimonials from past Enhanced Recovery patients.

“Geoff helped the team realise this project. He worked really closely with Mr Bandyopadhyay and myself in order to really understand the team’s vision. Geoff was vital in the planning and scheduling of filming and he was so knowledgeable and approachable – he made the whole process easy and enjoyable.
