Barnsley Adult Social Care
Barnsley Council wanted a video to showcase the implementation of a new model of social care for adults in Barnsley. Deadline Digital interviewed the staff involved in the internal changes to the council and a carer of a young adult involved in the model of care.
“Although Deadline Digital had worked on other projects for the Council this was my first involvement with Geoff and his colleague Eve. Their brief was to produce some short video clips that would form an integral part of our pitch to win the business transformation category as part of the national local government awards. Barnsley was one of only 8 shortlisted authorities for this category so the video clips were an aid to bring our story alive and Geoff’s work certainly did just that. The end product was professional, skilfully edited and of a quality that far exceeded my expectations. I was absolutely delighted with the result. The judging panel were particularly impressed with the videos as well as senior managers and staff across the Council.
Geoff played an integral role, working in partnership, to help us achieve what we wanted. We had very tight timescales to work to but Geoff went that “extra mile” to ensure that we did, and I can’t thank him enough for that support.
I was particularly impressed with how Geoff a and Eve connected with the interviewees. They both had a lovely, respectful manner and when it came to interviewing the carer Geoff handled this with warmth, sensitivity and empathy. I would say that both Geoff and Eve are particularly skilled in putting people at ease and getting the best out of them.
All in all the whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending Deadline Digital . A huge thank you again to Geoff and his team.”
