The Tour de Yorkshire will once again fly through Barnsley on May 3rd 2019. This is the second time that Barnsley has hosted the event, following a successful run last year.
The action will begin outside the town hall at 9:05am as the women’s race kicks off. The men jump on the saddle at 2:45pm to start the second stage of their race.
Both races will then ride through Mapplewell and Royston as they head through Pontefract and sprint towards Bedale.
There will also be music, street theatre and stalls happening all day throughout the town centre.
Barnsley-based video production company Deadline Digital got involved in the action and produced a promotional video for Barnsley Council to capture the buzz around the town ahead of the big day.
