South Yorkshire now home to UK’s only video game museum

The UK’s only video game museum has opened up its doors in South Yorkshire.

The National Videogame Museum is the first of its kind in the UK, celebrating the history of gaming.

The museum is now in Sheffield after a temporary closure in the summer.

The centre initially opened  in Nottingham in 2015 but due to problems maintaining the building has now moved to its new South Yorkshire location.

It will be displaying games made in Sheffield, including games such as Snake Pass, Monty Mole and Zool.

The new site will also host over 100 other consoles and arcade games for people to try out.
